Jewish Women's Circle holds first event
      Westborough - The first session of the Jewish Women's Circle included 20 women gathered to perfect the art of Challah baking just in time for the high holidays. Kosher cateress Tami Witkes presented a talk about the history of Challah and its significance, and then the women got busy - making and braiding Challah.

ALS walk raises highest total ever
      Westborough - To honor Lillian Carpenter, an ALS victim who died in 2007, "Diamond Lil's Loves" wave as they start off the Walk to D'Feet ALS in Westborough Sept. 27. Her daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among the more than 400 people who participated in the walk, raising more than $171,000.

Director of John Adams collection to speak to Woman's Club

Scouts to present 2008 Westborough Good Scout Award
      Westborough - The 2008 Westborough Good Scout Award will be presented to Nelson P. Ball Thursday Nov. 13 at the Indian Meadows Country Club in Westborin ough. The gathering will begin at 6 p.m., with an Opening Ceremony by the Boy Scouts at 6:55 p.m. Dinner and the Good Scout Award presentation will follow.

      Westborough - The Westborough Woman's Club is finalizing plans for its annual Holiday House Tour Saturday Dec. 13. Each year four or five homes are featured on the tour. For the second year, a local religious building will be included in the tour.
