Local church hosts community luncheons
      Marlborough/Hudson - All are welcome to drop by the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main St., at the corner of Main and Church streets in Hudson, to enjoy a luncheon of good food and fellowship at noon on the second Sunday of the next two months: Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. There is no cost, but donations will be gratefully accepted.

Library hosts Pumpkin Party
      Marlborough - Lily Brady, 6, displays a jack-olantern she made with construction paper at the Pumpkin Party, held earlier this month in the Marlborough Public Library Children's Room. The young party guests also listened to pumpkin stories while enjoying apple juice and snacks.

We've got rhythm!
      Marlborough - Lauren Dennis, 4, and Elizabeth Powell, 5, keep the beat with shakers during "Everywhere a Rhythm," an exploration of rhythm through songs, stories, movements and instruments with Kristen Arnold, held Oct. 10 at the Marlborough Public Library. The program is geared for children ages 3 to 6, and it will return Fridays Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.

Scholarship foundation partners with 'Got Books'
      Marlborough - Citizen's Scholarship Foundation (CSF) of Marlborough, a chapter of "Dollars for Scholars," has entered into a fund-raising partnership with "Got Books" of North Reading. A "Got books" container now sits in the parking lot at the Marlborough Middle School entrance off of Bolton Street.
