Soccer Equipment Drive to help in fight against HIV/AIDS

Southborough - Southborough Youth Soccer and Girl Scout Troop 2784 of Southborough are teaming up to sponsor a Soccer Equipment Drive through Sunday Oct. 19. Donations of soccer cleats (good condition, tied together), soccer balls (inflated) and Southborough Youth Soccer uniforms (teal and white and/or royal blue) will be accepted.

All equipment collected in the drive will be donated to Grassroot Soccer. Grassroot Soccer provides African youth with knowledge, skills and support to live HIV-free, using the power of soccer in the fight against HIV/AIDS. For more information, visit www.grassrootsoccer.org.

Drop off donations in the plastic bins with the fluorescent pink or yellow signs located around town, including at local churches, the library and the transfer station, in addition to bins at the soccer fields Saturday Oct. 18.
