St. Luke's Free Community Supper
      Hudson - St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hudson will be hosting a "Community Supper" Sunday Nov. 9 from 5 to 6 p.m. The event is intended for the whole community, not just members of the church. The meal will feature a variety of soups with tea breads.

Hudson Education Foundation grateful to supporters
      Hudson - The Hudson Education Foundation (HEF) recently extended sincere thanks to its supporters for endorsing the foundation's 2008 Fund Drive efforts. At the Valedictorian level ($2,000 and above) is Avidia Charitable Foundation, which awarded $4,000 to the foundation. Salutatorian level ($1,000 to $1,999) supporters include Murphy Insurance Agency and Joseph C.

Church to host 'Harry Potter Lego Building Extravaganza'
      Hudson - Students in grades four through seven who enjoy both Harry Potter and building with Legos are invited, along with an accompanying adult, to the Harry Potter Lego Building Extravaganza at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson Saturday Nov. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. For an admission fee of $5 per child, attendees can recreate the Harry Potter world with Legos.

Habitat for Humanity project to start in Hudson
      Hudson - Hudson Habitat for Humanity will be holding a social hour Tuesday Nov. 11 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Church (upstairs) on the corner of Main and Church streets in Hudson. Anyone interested in volunteering for the project or in learning more is encouraged to drop by.

Senior Strutters take the stage in Hudson
      Hudson - (l to r) Ann Samson, Rita Chase, Kay Donley and Lorette Theriault sing a tune in the Senior Strutters 17th annual show, "Coming to America," staged Oct. 25 and 26 at Hudson High School Auditorium. The unique group of entertainers, ranging in age from 50 to 84, is based in Sudbury and includes members from Hudson, Marlborough and other Metrowest communities.

Organizers plan benefit for close friend
      Hudson - Friends and family members are gearing up for a benefit show in support of Monica Jorge. All residents are encouraged to attend the Nov. 21 event at the Portuguese Club, 13 Port St., with the goal of raising money to help the Jorge family purchase a new handicapped-equipped van. One Monica's friends, Susan O'Connell, is helping organize the event.
