Cheerleaders advance to regional competition
      Hudson - The Hudson Youth Football and Cheering 10 and Under (small division) team has advanced to the regional cheering competition being held Saturday Nov. 29 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Rhode Island. The team took third place in its division at the local competition held in Lowell and is one of three local teams going on to the regional event.

Holiday Coalition seeks sponsors for 2008 season
      Hudson - The Hudson Holiday Coalition centralizes and administrates giving for the holiday season. Last year, the coalition provided gifts, clothing and food for 150 Hudson families and their 340 children. The coalition seeks organizations and individuals to sponsor a family or a child or to make a monetary donation.

First Federated Church to host live nativity
      Hudson - On Sunday Dec. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m., the congregation of the First Federated Church of Hudson will present a live nativity scene. The front entryway of the church will be transformed into a stable setting. Live animals will be provided by Hillside School farm of Marlborough.

Happily ever after
      Hudson - Catie Scott, 4, listens to a magical melody sung by special guest Cinderella during the "Prince and Princess Tea Party," held Nov. 10 at the Hudson Public Library Children's Room. Girls and boys, ages 3 and 4, enjoyed songs, crafts and fairy tales, while treated to crown-shaped cookies and apple juice served in tea cups.
