Westborough - Whether you're looking to drop a few pounds, train for a future race or recover from a sports injury, "Fitness Together" off ers a customized one-on-one training program to fit your needs. Located on East Main Street in Westborough, "Fitness Together" is outfitted with two fully equipped private training rooms and a state-ofthe art cardiovascular suite to give clients the most efficient workouts.

Owner of "Lifestyle Fitness Corporation" Steven Lichtman explained that he currently owns and operates three of the local "Fitness Together" facilities, which are all part of an international personal training franchise.

After years of working as an executive in the software industry, Lichtman said, he wanted to be involved with a business that actually helps people.

In 2003 he was first introduced to Fitness Together as a client wanting to address personal issues with chronic lower back pain and an expanding waist size. In 2005, after experiencing significant success, Lichtman said goodbye to the corporate world and opened his first personal training studio.

"I was the client that was in pain and needed help," he said.

Vice President of Operations for Lifestyle Fitness Corp. and Westborough Facility Director Michael Cardoza, who has a master's degree and training experience in top European soccer clubs, said he has always been drawn to helping people reach their optimum fitness goals.

He explained that what attracted him to Fitness Together was the high level of expertise and dedication that the personal trainers had. All of the trainers hold bachelor's degrees in exercise science and are nationally certified.

"Many of our clients come several times a week for one-onone training so they develop a very personal relationship with the trainers," Cardoza said. "Our trainers put in a lot of hours and are truly passionate about helping our clients."

When first meeting with a potential client, he explained, they work to establish realistic goals and determine what level of commitment the clients are willing to give to achieving that goal.

If it looks like Fitness Together is a good fit, the trainer then creates a customized training program, which often includes several weekly training sessions with a personal trainer. It is in these regular weekly training sessions that clients get the coaching and support needed to get the best results."

"We have a holistic approach to health and fitness which incorporates everything from strength training, nutritional guidance, Pilates type movements and cardiovascular exercise programs," Cardoza said.

"What we do is not inexpensive," Lichtman said. "But I can promise you it is the best investment."

With personal experience with the physical damage that can result from age and stress, Lichtman said that far too often people do not take time to do something good for themselves.

"The best investment we can make is to take care of our health," he said. "When we feel good, we can better cope with life's stresses. At Fitness Together, we understand that some people have difficulty staying motivated. We provide our clients with the support and accountability they need to help them succeed."

What sets Fitness Together apart in the industry is the philosophy that one size does not fit all, which allows them to accommodate clients from their teens through to their 90s.

With no crowded gyms, no waiting for equipment, Fitness Together off ers results in a short time. The facility is open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 508- 366-0099 or visit the website at www.ftwestborough.com.
