Rotary Club hosts annual Spelling Bee

Northborough - Below: The "Three Amigos Incognito" team of M.J. Fredette, Karen Buzanoski and Louise Leo put their heads together as they compete in the fifth annual Community Spelling Bee presented by the Rotary Club of Northborough last month. The event, which was held at the Proctor School, included 20 "themed" spelling teams competing for a $1,000 cash prize, which would be donated to the team's choice of a local community charity, cause or nonprofit group. According to Adam Winter, Northborough Rotary Club President, the annual event raises approximately $4,000- $5,000, which supports scholarships and after-school programs.
