Michael P. Quinn, 51

Marlborough - Michael P. Quinn, 51, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at Bolton Manor Nursing Home in Marlborough after a lengthy illness.

He leaves his parents, William and Mary (Sherman) Quinn; his sister, Marilyn Nasuti and her husband, Robert; his brother, Robert Quinn; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in Marlborough, he was a 1984 graduate of Marlborough High School.

Mr. Quinn was a drum instructor for over 20 years at Roberston Music in Marlborough and Westborough. He also had his own band, Talking Book, in which he played the drums for over 25 years in Marlborough and surrounding towns.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a longtime member of the former Duke's Drum and Bugle Corps of Marlborough, playing the snare drum. He enjoyed jamming with other musicians and, most of all, repairing and restoring snare drums.

Funeral services were held Dec. 29 from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home of Marlborough, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210 or the Rehab Center at Bolton Manor Nursing Home, 400 Bolton St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
