Citizen's Scholarship Foundation to host 'Brown Bag Social'

Marlborough - The 14th annual "Brown Bag Social" will be held Saturday Jan. 26. This event is the first fundraiser of the year for Citizen's Scholarship Foundation of Marlborough, a chapter of "Dollars for Scholars."

The "bring your own food in a brown bag" social has been very successful in the past years. The theme of the evening will be Mardi Gras, with Bob Begg as the disc jockey for dancing.

The mission of "Dollars for Scholars" is to raise money for scholarships, which are given to graduating high school students, students currently enrolled in postsecondary education, matriculating students, and a new category for students in elementary, middle, and high school who will attend a summer enrichment program.

The social will be held at the Moose Lodge on Fitchburg Street from 7:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. There will be a cash bar, and coff ee and dessert will be provided. Tickets are $10 each, and tables for 10 can be reserved.
