Theresa A. Vigneault, 81

Shrewsbury - Theresa A. "Terri" (O'Toole) Vigneault, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 in her home.

She leaves her husband of 50 years, Richard Vigneault; her son, Richard A. Vigneault; her daughters, Janet Vigneault and Lois Vigneault; her sister, Lillian Thompson; and her niece, Jean Thompson.

Born in Brighton, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Ann (Power) O'Toole, she lived in Brighton and Brookline before moving to Shrewsbury in 1960. She was a graduate of Saint Columbkille High School in Brighton and took some courses at Boston University.

Mrs. Vigneault was an administrative assistant with the Department of Environmental Protection in Westborough before her retirement. Previously, she had worked for Travelers Insurance Company and was the secretary to the president of American Hardware Mutual Insurance Company, both in Boston, before moving to Shrewsbury. When she and her husband moved to Worcester, she held the position of secretary to the president of R.H. Whites Department Store in Worcester.

She was a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury, where, at one time, she served on the board for the C.C.D. Program. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Women's League and the Holy Family League. When her daughters were young, she was very involved in Girl Scouting and was a leader for Troop 301.

A funeral mass was celebrated Jan. 5 from Saint Mary's Church, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury. The Britton- Shrewsbury Funeral Home directed arrangements
