Gloria M. Antonio, 83 Westborough - Gloria M. Antonio, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph Antonio. She leaves her children, Joseph Antonio, Paul Antonio, Gail Benoit, June Laliberte, Peter Antonio, Lois McQuilkin and Lisa Wasel; her siblings, Viola Nalbandian, Flora Dolan and Edward Sarno; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Janet Antonio. Born in Jamaica Plain, the daughter of Joseph and Concetta (Sarno) Sarno, she was a graduate of Girls High School in Jamaica Plain. Mrs. Antonio was employed, following her graduation, as a payroll clerk for Rivet Lathe Grinding Co. in Quincy. During World War II, she worked at the Oakland Navy Base and then returned to Boston to work for Sears Roebuck prior to her marriage. In later years, she and her husband owned and operated the former Joe and Gloria's Catering. She was an active member and communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough and past president of the St. Luke's Women's Club and the Senior Adults. A funeral mass was celebrated Jan. 7 from St. Luke the Evangelist Church, with burial at St. Luke's Cemetery. The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home directed arrangements.
