St. Mary's Winter Ball planned for this month
By Melissa Muntz Community Reporter

Shrewsbury - St. Mary's Parents' Association is will hold its fifth Annual Winter Ball at Cyprian Keyes in West Boylston Saturday Jan. 26.

The Monte Carlo-themed event will include dinner, dancing and a cocktail hour complete with game booths that school Advancement Director Sira Naras said will make for a unique experience.

"The games are really a blast because they encourage people to really mingle instead of just standing around having a drink," Naras said. "It's perfect for anyone who's new to town and wants to meet new people because it forces them to interact in a really fun way."

Although simple dresses and suits are common attire, Naras said, the event is perfect for anyone looking to dust off their formal wear.

"The event runs the gamut from cocktail dresses and suits to beautiful gowns and tuxes, so there's a very broad range of attire," she said.

The event is open to the public, and tickets are $50. Reservations for complete tables are currently being accepted.
