George C. Lizotte Jr., 86

Marlborough - George C. Lizotte Jr., 86, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at Genesis Westford House after an illness. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Robinson) Lizotte, who died in 1983, and his first wife, Mabel (kinder) Lizotte.

He leaves his children and their spouses, Linda and Fred Mueller, Gail and Lloyd Morton, and Kenneth and Cecilia Lizotte; his brothers, Robert Lizotte and his wife, Mary, and Thomas Lizotte and his wife, Barbara; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a greatgreat grandson; and his loving niece, Elizabeth Hoenshell.

Born in Boston, the son of George and L. Helen (Greene) Lizotte, he had lived in Marlborough for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific theater, and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Mr. Lizotte was a foreman for over 30 years with the city of Marlborough Street Department. He later worked at Marlborough Hospital for over five years.

He was a member of the D.A.V. of Marlborough and enjoyed RV camping, fishing and gardening. He loved photographs of friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home of Marlborough, 57 Main St., with burial with military honors to be held later in the spring at Maplewood Cemetery. Calling hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvatore Padula Chapter 82 of the D.A.V., P.O. Box 229, 255 Main St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
