Vivian B. Westberg, 85
Shrewsbury - Vivian B. (Braun) Westberg, 85, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 after a recent illness. She was the wife of the late Richard Westberg, who passed in 1974.

She leaves her children, Marsha Gemma and her husband, Richard; Douglas Westberg and his wife, Diane; and Gary Westberg and his wife, Marlene. She also leaves seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 25, 1922 in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of Victor and Nettie (Trawalter) Braun. She was raised in San Antonio, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School and then from a cosmetology school. She came to Worcester in 1948 and was a resident of Shrewsbury since 1959.

Mrs. Westberg worked for many years as the secretary at Shrewsbury High School. She was an accomplished baker, making cakes and pastries and teaching cake decorating. An enthusiastic baseball fan, she particularly enjoyed the Boston Red Sox.

Funeral services were to be held at the convenience of the family, with burial at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Roney Funeral Homes of North Grafton directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Bosler Humane Society, P.O. Box 12, Baldwinville, MA 01426.
