Shrewsbury - At a recent School Committee meeting, School Superintendent Dr. Anthony Bent proudly reported that Shrewsbury had tied neighboring communities Westborough and Southborough with top MCAS scores despite being well below the state average for per pupil spending. In fiscal year 2006, Shrewsbury spent $8,848 per pupil against a state average of $11,211.

Despite being asked to do more with less, educators in Shrewsbury are getting it done.
