Mary E. Risi, 97

Berlin - Mary E. Risi, 97, of River Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 at Marlborough Hills Health Care Center following an illness.

Miss Risi is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Concetta Del Duca, and four brothers, Carl Sr., Richard, John and Joseph Risi.

Born in Stoneham, the daughter of Bennedetto and Antonette (Mambro) Risi, she was raised in Berlin, where she had lived for over 80 years.

Miss Risi was co-owner of A. Risi and Sons Building Supplies in Berlin. She was a truck driver for the company, delivering supplies and materials to different construction sites. She was also the owner and operator of Risi's Package Store in Berlin.

A devout catholic, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Berlin, as well as a lifelong member of the Grange in Berlin. She was a lover of flowers and birds.

A funeral mass was held Feb. 11 from St. Joseph's Church, with burial at South Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church, P.O. Box 284, Berlin, MA 01503 or to the charity of one's choice.
