State Rep. Eldridge to run for State Senate

Region - State Rep. Jamie Eldridge, D-Acton, announced today he is a candidate for the Middlesex and Worcester State Senate seat that will be vacated by retiring State Sen. Pamela P. Resor, D-Acton.

Eldridge served as Resor's campaign manager in her campaigns for state representative in 1998 and State Senate in 2000. Prior to that, Eldridge was the campaign manager for former State Sen. Robert Durand's campaign in 1996.

"I know the district well," said Eldridge, who currently represents the 37th Middlesex District, "and I know what it takes to off er the kind of leadership we've been so fortunate to have from our last two state senators."
