Southborough announces spring programs Southborough - Southborough Recreation programs scheduled for March include music sessions, science exploration, rock climbing, and arts and crafts. For Pre-K children, "Time to Make Music" offers an opportunity to explore rhythm, music and movement with exposure to classical, contemporary and multi-ethnic music. For ages 2.9 to 5 years, this program is offered Saturdays 10 to 10:45 a.m., beginning March 15. "Pint-Size Science" helps kids discover the basic elements of science. Activities include exploration into colors, bubbles, kid-made clay, dinosaurs, worms and more. For ages 2.9 to 4 years, this program is held Mondays 10 to 10:45 a.m., beginning March 10. "Rock Climbing" teaches kids the basic skills of rock climbing using indoor 18-foot and 26-foot walls. This class focuses on safety and performance, includes climbing games, training and climbing technique, and is held at the Westborough YMCA. For ages 6 to 8 and 9 to 12, it's offered Monday afternoons, beginning March 10. In "Arts and Crafts," children will use their imaginations to create individual pieces of art to take home. A warm, friendly atmosphere and individual attention allow children to thrive. For kids in grades kindergarten to fourth, the program is Saturdays from 11 to 11:45 a.m., beginning March 15.
