Susan J. Blair, 60

Marlborough - Susan J. (Lafleur) Blair, 60, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.

She leaves her children, Matthew Blair and Daniel Balir and his wife, Michelle; her siblings, Carol Daley and her husband, Jim, and Richard Lafleur and his wife, carol; and her grandchildren, Kelsea Blair, Caylin Blair and Jack Blair.

Born in Marlborough, the daughter of Adonis and Dorothy (White) Lafleur, she lived in the city for most of her life. She was a 1965 graduate of St. Anne Academy in Marlborough and a 1967 graduate of the Salter Secretarial School in Worcester.

Mrs. Blair had been the assistant to the headmaster at Hillside School in Marlborough for the past 12 years. Previously, she was a business manager for 27 years at the Regional Primate Center in Southborough.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and, in 1952, was chosen as Miss Recreation Marlborough. She was a very talented artist working with chalks, and enjoyed vacationing with her family, especially her grandchildren, at White Horse Beach and Hampton Beach. She collected spoons from wherever she traveled, and she loved to cook meatballs for her family and friends.

Funeral services were held Feb. 25 from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home in Marlborough, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Marlborough. Memorial donations may be made to the Hillside School Fund, 404 Robin Hill Rd., Marlborough, MA 01752.
