Give blood, referee hockey:
Hockey official hit by Shrewsbury puck

PHOTO/LOUIS DEFELIPPI
Region - A takeoff on a popular bumper sticker took on added meaning recently, when a puck off the stick of Shrewsbury senior captain Mark Murray hit longtime area hockey official John Young in the mouth during the Colonials' 4-1 win over Algonquin Regional in a game played Feb. 20 at Westborough's North Star Youth Forum.

After the incident, referee and player showed there were no hard feelings, however, posing for this picture. Young received a few stitches to close the cut, but said he will be back on the ice officiating during the upcoming Central Mass. Tournament.
