Bertha E. Rahmig, 85

Westborough - Bertha E. "Bertie" Rahmig, 85, formerly of Marlborough and Trumbull, Conn., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Frank Rahmig.

She leaves her son, Richard Rahmig; her daughters, Nancy Papp and Diane Karwoski; and five grandchildren.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of Otto and Elsie (Ulmer) Wilhelm, she was educated in Jersey City schools and attended business school.

Mrs. Rahmig was a secretary for Safeway Supermarket and, in later years, was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Westborough and a former member of the Long Hill United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, in Trumbull. She was also a member of the Methodist Women and the Order of Eastern Star, AARP, an avid bowler, and a former volunteer for St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport, Conn.

Funeral services were held Feb. 27 from the First United Methodist Church of Westborough, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery. The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home directed arrangements.
