Ruth K. Dwyer, 96

Westborough - Ruth K. Dwyer, 96, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Melvin Dwyer.

She leaves several cousins and dear friends. She was the mother of the late Stanley Dwyer and sister of the late Dr. Charles Gibbs and Everett Gibbs.

Born in Alberton, PEI, Canada, she was the daughter of James and Jessie (Dunville) Gibbs. She had been a resident of Westborough since 1994, previously living in Natick for many years.

Mrs. Dwyer was employed as the ward secretary at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick for many years before retiring.

She was a former member of the First Congregational Church of Natick and its Women's Union. She was past Noble Grand of Welcome Rebecca Lodge in Natick and past president of the Cedaretts. She was also a founding member of the Middlesex Chapter of Muscular Dystrophy in Framingham.

Funeral services were held March 11 from the Rand- Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 31 Milk St., Suite 920, Boston, MA 02109.
