SallyAnn Duffy, 68 Hudson - SallyAnn (Knott) Duffy, 68, formerly of Marlborough, died at home Tuesday, March 4, 2008 after an illness. She leaves her husband of 47 years, Daniel Duffy; her sons, Daniel Duffy and his wife, Tracey, and Earl Duffy and his wife, Alicia; her siblings, Stanley Knott, Georgene Holmes, Raymond Knott and Martha Brents; and her grandchildren, Courtney, Kevin and Shane. Born in Springfield, the daughter of Stanley and Sarah (Matchett) Knott, she moved from Marlborough to Hudson 18 years ago. She was a 1957 graduate of Natick High School. Mrs. Duffy was an administrative assistant for over 10 years at the former Digital Equipment Corp. of Maynard. She was also a former ESL teacher in the Marlborough/ Hudson area. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity in Northborough and of the Monday Quilters, which makes and donates quilts to shelters for battered women, in the Marlborough/Hudson area. She enjoyed not only quilting, but also sewing and knitting. Most of all, she loved her family and having them around her. A memorial celebration of life was held March 8 from the Church of the Nativity, with burial held at a later date at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick. The John P. Rowe Funeral Home in Marlborough directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard St., Northborough, MA 01532. |
