Dorothy B. Davis, 89 Marlborough - Dorothy "Dot" "Dede" (Bleasdale) Davis died peacefully Saturday, March 8, 2008, one month before her 90th birthday, in the Marlborough Hills Nursing Home. She was the devoted wife of the late Daniel James Davis. She was the loving mother of Sandra Bryer and Suzanne Bryer-Ayers, daughters with her first husband, the late John Bryer. Born in Boston, the daughter of Ada (Irish) and Thomas Bleasdale, she lived most of her life in Natick. She was a 1918 graduate of Natick High School and was active on many high school reunions. Mrs. Davis' late husband, Dan, was president of the Natick Chapter and Governor of the New England District of Kiwanis. As his wife, she hosted numerous social functions over the years and was widely known and respected in Kiwanis circles. She resided in Hastings House in Framingham for many years, where she was instrumental in organizing many social activities. She will be remembered by friends of all ages, including children she loved and cared for, who loved her dearly. Funeral services were held March 12 from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home of Natick Common, with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick. Memorial donations can be made to MetroWest Humane Society in Ashland. |
