MSB welcomes McAuliffe as assistant branch manager Marlborough Savings Bank (MSB) has announced the addition of Christine A. McAuliff e as Assistant Branch Manager of the newest branch location in Westborough, which opened March 17. McAuliff e is responsible for the daily operations of the branch, as well as developing branch growth and cultivating customer relationships. She has worked for several area banks, most recently the former Westborough Bank. Her experience in all aspects of branch operations and her exemplary customer service skills are an asset to the new branch. She attended Quinsigamond Community College and also received her certification from the American Banking Institute. A resident of Worcester, McAuliff e is a volunteer for the Annual Walk for Cancer. Miss Tanya's Longmeadow School, 25 Longmeadow Rd., Westborough, will present a workshop for parents, led by Tracey Bramley Goodwin of The Power Within, Thursday, March 27, from 7-9 p.m. Participants will gain a better understanding of why children do what they do, learn strategies for dealing with behaviors and get a glimpse of what is happening inside their child's developing brain. St. Mary's Credit Union sponsors MCDC seminars

St. Mary's Credit Union recently donated $4,000 to the Marlborough Community Development Corpora- tion (MCDC) to sponsor a certified first-time home buyer seminar in the City of Marlborough. According to MCDC Executive Director Trish Settles, the MCDC expects to offer an educational first-time home buyer seminar program to benefit low to moderate income families and non-English speaking families as soon as this May. Post Road Art Center announces show winners

The Post Road Art Center, 1 Boston Post Rd. in Marlborough, has announced the winners of its "Open Juried Show." Over 70 pieces were submitted for the show, and Elizabeth Geller, Exhibitions Manager, Corporate Program, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, judged the show. The 1st place winner was Susi Price, while 2nd place was awarded to Nan Rumf and 3rd place to John Daisy. The exhibition can be viewed through April 1, Monday-Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Also, Post Road Art Center has announced its next juried show is the "Creative Figure Show." Artist drop off is March 28 through April 3, with the opening reception April 10, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Registration forms are available at www.postroadartcenter.com.

Kensho Ryu of Hudson now open

Off ering kenpo karate classes for children and adults, Kensho Ryu of Hudson provides traditional and family instruction for children and adults in a friendly atmosphere. A grand opening will be held Saturday, March 29, from 2-4 p.m., at 21 Main St. (the Cochran Building), Suite 3B, downtown Hudson. A dynamic martial art, kenpo karate combines the traditional and modern disciplines of kenpo and shotokan karate, while the name Kensho-Ryu is comprised of the first three letters of each of the original arts, KENpo and SHOtokan, followed by the word Ryu which, when translated, means "way."
