Lea T. Nye, 90

Northborough - Lea T. (Geyh) Nye, 90, of Newton Street, formerly of Framingham, died at home Friday, March 7, 2008 following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Howard Nye, who died in 1998.

She is survived by her son, Robert Nye; her daughter, Joyce Nye; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Walter Nye, and daughter, Jane Nye.

Born and raised in New York, she was the daughter of Charles and Marguerite (Rasmeussen) Geyh. She lived in Framingham for 45 years before moving to Northborough, where she had lived for the past 10 years.

Mrs. Nye co-founded Marlborough Foundry, Inc with her husband in 1953, and the family business currently has the fourth generation working there.

She was a lifelong member of the P.E.O. of the Framingham Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star in New York and was very active in the Framingham Woman's Club.

A memorial service was held March 14 from Hays Funeral Home of Northborough, with private burial.
