Most common misconception: "People think that we're a junk store, and we're not," owner Vicki Martelli said. "They think it's an antiques shop. To change that, we spent a lot of money on our new sign. I put in the new beautiful bay window. Even though I've been here 10 years and I have excellent word of mouth advertising, people still think we're an antiques shop.

"We are actually a 10-room home décor and baby store. Each room has its own theme going on. You never know what's going to be here. It changes almost weekly."

Business description: "Everything is so different and unique. Our prices are good because I love to buy, so I've got to keep my merchandise moving. I just buy what I like and kind of make my own trends. Our bedding line is absolutely magnificent.

"Right now, with spring coming will be our wreaths, our garden supplies. I try to find things you won't find when you walk into any other store. We sell furniture, lighting, candles, Casafina stoneware, baby gifts and quality bath and body items.

"We're going to start selling a little bit more clothing."

Background: "I managed a phone center store for AT&T for 18 years. Then they laid us off 11 years ago … so I had a great education. I had to forecast, do business plans.

"I bought the building. We just began growing. I just change and keep growing. I got my daughter involved. She designs custom curtains.

"I love [the business]. We just have a ball. We'll rip a room apart, paint it and decorate it. We just make things new and fresh."
