Josephine J. Bartolini, 83

Fayville - Josephine J. (Tiziani) Bartolini, 83, died peacefully at her home Thursday, April 3, 2008, with her family by her side, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was the wife of 47 years of the late Leo Bartolini Sr., who passed away in 1993.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Bartolini, Leo Bartolini Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, and Paul Bartolini; her siblings, Theresa Barbette and her husband, Thomas, and Roy Tiziani and his wife, Mary; her grandchildren, Dominic, Jeffrey, Christopher, Jonathan, Anthony, Leo III, who she raised since he was an infant, and Brendan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughterin laws, Katherine (Chaput) Bartolini and Kerry Ann (Mc Donald) Bartolini.

Mrs. Bartolini attended Framingham schools and Framingham State College evening classes. Before she was married, she worked for Framingham Apron Factory and McIntosh Stitcher, sewing army jackets for our troops during World War II.

After her marriage, Mrs. Bartolini worked as a waitress at the former Giombetti's Restaurant and the former Whites Corner, both in Southborough. In 1961, she and her husband became co-owners of Bartolini Bros. Construction Co. Inc. She ran the office until she was 80, when she was no longer able to due to her health. She also had her Massachusetts Real Estate License.

She was a member of St. Matthew Church of Southborough, where she was a communicant, and was also a member of Southborough Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed summering at her home on Cape Cod, where she was a former member of the Sesuit Harbor Boat Owner Association. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A funeral mass was held April 7 from St. Matthew Church, with burial at the Rural Cemetery in Southborough. The Morris Funeral Home of Southborough directed arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be sent in her memory to St. Matthew Church, 105 Southville Rd., Southborough, MA 01772.
