Pauline G. D'Amico, 96

Marlborough - Pauline G. (Meschini) D'Amico, 96, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at the Oak Knoll Health Care Center after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Frank D'Amico, who died in 1978.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Paula Vicingardi, John D'Amico and Thomas D'Amico; her sister, Gertrude Cellucci; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Francis D'Amico and Dr. Richard D'Amico.

Born in Hudson, the daughter of Marco and Francesca (TirraTerra) Meschini, she lived in Marlborough for over 70 years.

Mrs. D'Amico was a member of the former St. Ann's Parish and the Marlborough Council on Aging, and was a volunteer at Marlborough Hospital for many years. She was a devoted bingo player and a regular visitor to Foxwoods Casino.

A private funeral service was held in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home of Marlborough, followed by burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
