Westborough - Since last summer, Verizon customers in town have not had access to local cable programming covering government meetings, schools and other local events despite a requirement in Verizon's contract to make them available. Verizon's repeated assurances were left unfulfilled month after month - until the town threatened to revoke the company's 15-year license.
One business day after receiving a certified letter from the town stating its intention to revoke the license, the channels appeared.
