Northborough/ Southborough - Algonquin Regional High School pitcher Sam Bush delivers a pitch during the Tomahawks' 10-0 win over Marlborough High in the seasonopening game for both teams April 7 in Northborough. Bush, who pitched a scoreless seventh inning, teamed up with fellow hurlers John McKenna and Mike Speranzella to record the shutout. McKenna, who started and pitched the first five innings, earned the victory by allowing just two hits, while striking out four. The junior threw just 71 pitches, 40 for strikes, and retired 15 of the 19 batters he faced. Offensively, freshman Kyle McGinnity paced the Algonquin attack, doubling, walking twice and scoring two runs in his varsity debut.
