Westborough - Westborough residents Kimberly Woodcock (left) and Elise Brown stand with the trophies they won for finishing second in their respective age groups in the State Free Throw Contest, held April 5 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Kimberly competed in the 12-year-old age group, while Elise competed in the 13-year-old division. The girls advanced to the state competition by winning the local Knights of Columbus Council Free Throw Contest, held in January, and then the Central Region Free Throw Contest, held March 8 at the St. Louis School in Webster. Westborough residents who finished second in the Central Region competition were Brandon Damiano (in the 10-year-old boys division), Maria Hession (11-yearold girls) and Whitney Woodcock (14-year-old girls).
