Hudson - Hudson High School pitcher Josh Vermeesch delivers a pitch during the Hawks' junior varsity baseball game against Algonquin Regional April 11 at Riverside Park. Vermeesch, a junior, went 3-2/3 innings, threw 92 pitches and struck out five, but Algonquin prevailed, 9-2. Hudson dropped to 2-1 on the season with the loss, having defeated Oakmont Regional and New Bedford High previously this season. Sophomore right-fielder Wes Pellerin was the Hawks' offensive standout, ripping a double to left field.
