John Q. Neenan

Northborough - John Q. Neenan, formerly of Sudbury, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 in MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham from cardiac arrest.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Reagan) Neenan; his sons, John Neenan and Michael Neenan; his daughters, Kathryn Driscoll and Valerie Lutz; his stepchildren, Carolyn Quill, John Carnell and James Carnell; 13 grandchildren; his siblings, Nancy Doherty, Esther Newton and Walter Neenan; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Lynn, the son of John and Madeline (Hines) Neenan, he attended St. Mary's Grammar, graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn and was a Boston College alumnus, class of 1953. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Neenan was the president and founder of Wayland Engineering Sales and Neenan Technical Sales. He also co-founded three successful high-tech companies in Massachusetts during his 50-year career in high technology.

He was a member of St. Bernadette's Church in Northborough and a former member of St. Anselm's Parish in Sudbury, where he served as parish president. He also founded Connected Catholics, a support group for single Catholics through the Archdiocese of Boston.

A funeral mass was held April 18 in St. Bernadette's Church, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
