Salute to Westborough authors, then and now

Westborough - The public is invited to join the Westborough Historical Society and the Westborough Library in honoring the literary achievements of the town's authors at a special program and reception Monday April 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. After a short presentation on local authors from the past, contemporary authors will speak about their connection to Westborough and what inspired them to write.

Among the 11 authors who will attend the event are Andrew Clements, who has more than 20 well-loved children's books to his name, and Dr. Nicholas Dodson, whose books on animal behavior are a boon to pet lovers. Copies of the authors' works will be on display, and attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy conversation and refreshments with the authors at a reception following the talks. The event is part of the Library's centenary celebration. For more information, visit www. westboroughlib.org.
