Scouts, Brownies take part in 'clean-up'
Hudson - Lending their hands the first day of a two-day event, the "Sixth Annual Town Clean Up," April 26 and 27, are members of Cub Scout Pack 3 and Brownie Troop 2724 (l to r) Rachel Matisko, 6, Megan Leahy, 7, Ryan Leahy, 10, Reese Matisko, 8, Jared Leahy, 9, Jordan Yates, 7, and Abby Matisko, co-leader. The heavy-duty trash was discovered in the woods around Cherry Street Baseball Field. After unloading the big stuff, these scouts reported to the baseball field to help Brownies Lily LeDuc, 6, Caroline Pollard, 7, and Zoe Smith, 6, (not pictured) who got a head start raking and filling bags.

Both days of the weekend, residents were asked to fill up one bag of trash off the streets. The town of Hudson provided free trash pick-up at three locations: Riverside Park, South Street Parking Lot and Sauta Field. Free bags were provided by Beyond Real Estate.
