Library to hold lecture on Knights Templar

Marlborough - Hudson resident Andrew Linnell will present a lecture on the influence of Knights Templar on the founding of America. The program will be held in the Bigelow Auditorium at Marlborough Public Library Monday May 12 at 6:15 p.m. The lecture will cover Templar initiation and beliefs, their influence on art and architecture, the fall of Knights Templar as an order, and the implications each holds toward the founding of America.

Linnell is a 30-year veteran of the computer industry. He has maintained a strong interest in ancient wisdom and the development of secret societies. A favorite area of study has been groups from the Middle Ages. He holds a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and has authored several works including "The Dance of the Elves," a children's book published by Mercury Press.

The Marlborough Public Library is located at 35 West Main St. (Route 20). The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Parking is available directly behind the library, off of Witherbee Street.
