Yesue Memorial Concert to be held June 18

Hudson - Concert marches, patriotic favorites, show tunes, folk dance music and even a tango will be some of the music bound to delight the audience at the 11th Annual Professor Alfredo N. Yesue Memorial Concert at Wood Park, Park Street, Hudson Wednesday June 18 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The public is invited by the Yesue family and the Arts Alliance to enjoy the free outdoor concert performed by the River's Edge Community Band, the River's Edge Chorale and the Pro Musica Youth Chorus. Included in the old-fashioned family fun is an art exhibit by local artists belonging to the Arts Alliance.

Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic, blanket and lawn chairs. In case of rain, the concert will be held at Hudson High School Auditorium, 69 Brigham St.

The River's Edge Community Band is under the direction of conductor Jason Caron, while Paul Johnson is the director of the River's Edge Chorale and Jan Patterson is the director of the Pro Musica Youth Chorus, made up of talented youth ranging in age from 8 to 18.

Both the concert and art exhibit are free, with donations appreciated. The River's Edge Community Band, River's Edge Chorale, Pro Musica Youth Chorus and Arts in the Park are all programs of the Arts Alliance. For more information, visit www.upwitharts. org or call 978-562-1646.
