Town to host 'Take It or Leave It Day'
By Ken Powers Community Reporter

Northborough - The Northborough Recycling Committee, Renewal by Anderson, Pellegrino Trucking and Frankenstein's Metal Recycling will host the town's first ever "Take It or Leave It Day" from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday May 10 at Renewal By Anderson's Northborough headquarters at 104 Otis St.

The event, formerly known in town as Junque Day, will be held rain or shine.

Northborough residents are invited to drop off quality, reusable items at that time and to pick up a few, too, if anything catches their eye.

This year's acceptable stuff are useable household goods, electronics (including appliances, computers and televisions), cardboard and metal.

Not acceptable are any large, stuff ed pieces of furniture, construction materials or anything that can't be easily thrown away.

Information about purchasing rain barrels will be available for anyone interested in doing so.

For more information or to volunteer, call Betty Tetreault, the chair of the Recycling Committee, at 508-393-8514 or the Northborough Engineering Department at 508-393-5015.
