Carolyn D. Cutter, 93

Northborough - Carolyn Dearington Cutter, 93, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. Her husband of 61 years, Robert, died in 2004.

She leaves her children, Candy (Carolyn) Cares, Jeffrey Cutter, Bradley Cutter, Christopher Cutter and Daryl Cutter, as well as eight grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

As a child, Mrs. Cutter lived in Everett and Melrose. Her married years were spent in Stoneham, Sudbury and Northborough. Childhood summers were spent on Martin's Pond in North Reading and in Wellfleet. Wellfleet was the vacation destination for the rest of her life, where she and her husband eventually bought property. Her five children spent many happy days in Wellfleet, as well.

Mrs. Cutter graduated from Lesley College in the early 1930s and was employed in Boston in the insurance field. An avid Mary Kay Cosmetics representative well into her 70s, she continued using make-up until the last week of her life. She was a warm and easygoing person and a delight to all who knew her.

The family thanks the staff at Whitney Place and Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough for the affectionate care they provided Mrs. Cutter these past four years. Special thanks from the family go to granddaughter Diana Cares for her loving attentiveness in managing her Nana's daily life.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
