Shrewsbury - Albert Mitchell of St. John's (center) splits a pair of St. Peter-Marian defenders on his way to the net in the boys lacrosse game between the schools May 2 at St. John's in Shrewsbury. The Pioneers won the game, 12-7, with one of the goals scored by Mitchell. Also scoring for St. John's were Rich Bamberger, who netted six goals, Colin O'Rourke (two), Eric Proos, Nate Etre and Nick Yacuzzi.

St. John's improved to 8-3 with the victory, while the St. Peter-Marian dropped to 8-4. Scoring for the Guardians were John Allain (two goals), Jimmy Germain (two), Mark Pappas (two) and Brian Nickelson.
