ALS walk raises highest total ever
Westborough - To honor Lillian Carpenter, an ALS victim who died in 2007, "Diamond Lil's Loves" wave as they start off the Walk to D'Feet ALS in Westborough Sept. 27. Her daughters, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among the more than 400 people who participated in the walk, raising more than $171,000. That's the most the 4-year-old local walk has raised for ALS research and services. Donations can still be made at www.theALSwalk.org for the central Massachusetts walk.
