      Shrewsbury - Shrewsbury High School's Daniel Schumacher shows off the form that allowed him to capture first place in the high jump in the Colonials' meet with Milford Dec. 17 at Shrewsbury. Schumacher's winning leap was 5 feet, 6 inches. His team won the meet, the first of the season for both squads, 75.50-15.50.

Six St. John's football players named allstars by Central Mass. Football Coaches
      Region - Twenty-seven football players from seven area schools were named Central Mass. allstars by the Central Mass. Football Coaches Association. St. John's High led the way with six Pioneers being named to the all-star team while Assabet Valley Regional and Shrewsbury high schools each had five players honored.

Oram's winning time of 12 minutes, 17.
