Algonquin Regional completes its boys hockey transition

      Region - Three years ago the Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) boys hockey team didn't win a game. Last year, it won seven. This year it won 10 games, qualified for the Central Mass. Tournament for the first time in nine years and finished the season 10-10-1.

Arthur Lambert Memorial tournament April 3
      The Eighth Annual Arthur Lambert Memorial three-onthree basketball tournament will be held at the Marlborough High School Field House Friday April 3 beginning at 5 p.m. The double-elimination basketball tournament has an entry fee of $110 per team and includes a commemorative T-shirt and participation in a half-court shot competition.

Awards for Westborough players, coach
      Congratulations are in order for Westborough High School (WHS) basketball players Jessica Bready and Matt Schoen, who were both recently named the Mid-Wachusett B All- Scholastic Award Winners, and Roger Anderson, who was named the 2008 Central Massachusetts Boys Track Coach of the Year by the Massachusetts Track Coaches Association.
