      Shrewsbury - Due to budget restrictions, the town library has significantly cut its services and hours, but the good news is that it has retained state certification. Services cut include certain programs, off -site book delivery and a decrease in new materials.

Mayor thanks community members
      To the Editor: On behalf of the City of Marlborough, I want to extend my thanks for the efforts of over 200 volunteers who spent Saturday, May 2, 2009, collecting trash from our streets, parks and neighborhoods throughout the city. This year's Clean Sweep team collected 6.06 tons of trash and 120 lbs of recyclable material. We should all be proud of this effort.
