Hospital hosts successful 'Safe Summer Fun Day'

PHOTO/ED KARVOSKI JR. The numerous exhibits included sun exposure screenings, tips on healthy eating, and a chance for children to play "doctor dress up." Marlborough Public Schools shared programs including Walking to School and Mission Nutrition. Participants of all ages learned fire safety from the Marlborough Fire Department. Other popular attractions were the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, UMass Memorial's LifeFlight helicopter and a rock-climbing wall sponsored by Cottage Children's Center.
The four-hour event was sponsored by the hospital with help from Marlborough Fraternal Order of Eagles #3565, Marlborough Rotary Club, Sisters of Saint Anne and Southborough Medical Group.
