Dorothy Cronin, 71

Southborough - Dorothy (Gallini) Cronin, 71, died at her home Sunday June 21, 2009, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Allen F. Cronin, who passed away in 1992.

She is survived by her children, Michael Cronin and his wife, Krista, and Patricia Cronin; a sister, Joyce Heinis; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Megan Cronin. She was predeceased by her son, James Cronin, who passed away in 1973, and her brother, Frederick Gallini.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Bruscia) Gallini. She was a graduate of Framingham High School and worked for many years for IDG of Framingham as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Southborough and loved doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed golf and reading. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

A Mass of resurrection was held June 26 from St. Matthew Church, with burial in Rural Cemetery. The Morris Funeral Home of Southborough assisted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to Autism Speaks, 2 Park Ave., NY, NY 10016.
