Bridge Program thanks community for blood donations
      To the editor: On behalf of the American Red Cross, all of us, from the Bridge Program are proud to say there were 62 donors on the blood drive this past June 7th. We had not just Brazilians; they were also Americans and Spanish among the donors. The success of this blood drive was possible through your help, spreading the word. Our gratitude to all.

      Northborough - Despite a plea made to area businesses in mid-May for assistance in funding the fireworks at this year's Applefest celebration, fund-raising for that part of the annual fall festival fell short of the $20,000 necessary.
