Teachers union objects to lack of increases
     Marlborough - The city’s fiscally conservative stance, which positioned it to weather the difficul t economi c climate, has not only led to a reserve in the stabilization fund, but also a charge of unfair labor laws brought forth by the local teachers union, Marlborough Educators Association.

Local resident graduates from U of R
      Westborough – Maryalice Wolfe, a resident of Westborough, recently graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor’s degree, with a major in brain and cognitive sciences. She is the daughter of Tom and Mary Ellen Wolfe, and a graduate of Westborough High School.

Westborough student qualifies for dean’s list
      Westborough – Samara Yohai was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2009 semester at Fairfield University. To be selected, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of 4.0. Samara is majoring in math with a minor in finance. Samara’s parents are Westborough residents Mark and Beth Yohai.
