Shrewsbury Education Foundation announces seventh annual Trivia Night

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Education Foundation (SEF) will hold its seventh annual Trivia Night fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 4 at Maironis Park, 52 S. Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury. The night will begin with “Happy Half Hour” at 6:30 p.m. followed by games at 7 p.m. It will be emceed once again by Hank Stolz from The Hank Stolz Experience on Charter TV 3.

Hudson Garden Club Bake Sale Oct. 21

Hudson – The Hudson Garden Club is hosting a bake sale Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon on the lawn of Les Cheveux Unisex Hair Salon, 26 Church St. Proceeds will be used to fund the club’s annual scholarships, guest speakers, and programs that are open to the public. Lala Java to host event benefiting veterans

Northborough – Lala Java will be hosting a Cars and Coffee event benefiting the Worcester Veterans Inc. Food Bank on October 7  from 8am-10am at their shop in Northborough. Apple Tree Arts to hosts open auditions Oct. 16

Two nature walks in Westborough Oct. 15

Westborough – The Westborough Community Land Trust will hold two nature walks Sunday, Oct. 15, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. The Thoreau Nature Writing Walk, co-sponsored by the Westborough Public Library, explores the life and writing techniques of Henry David Thoreau, born 200 years ago this year.

Town moderator to host office hours prior to Special Town Meeting

Westborough – Westborough will be holding a Special Town Meeting (STM) Monday, Oct. 16 for all registered voters. In preparation, Town Moderator John Arnold will be holding office hours in Memorial Hall in Town Hall, 34 West Main St., Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 7 – 9 p.m.

Turkey Shoot Nov. 12 at Grafton American Legion

Grafton – The Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 92 will hold a Turkey Shoot at the post, 60 Worcester Road, Grafton, Sunday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. The Ladies Auxiliary will host Bingo for baskets and meat along with other prizes. All proceeds will benefit the organization’s scholarship fund.

Grafton Boy Scouts’ fall bottle drive Oct. 14

Grafton – Boy Scout Troop 107 will hold their next bottle drive Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your deposit bottles and cans to the Grafton Municipal Center, 30 Providence Road. Money raised from the bottle drive supports the Scout’s campouts, activities, community service projects, and routine expenses. In addition, 10 percent of bottle drive earnings are donated to a local charity. During bottle drives, the Scouts will also be collecting non-perishable food to donate to a local food bank.
